elmo birthday party

 We threw him an Elmo party. I wanted to go all out but we had just moved so we had to do it last miniute. But it still turned out pretty good. I thought I'd share some pictures and ideas from his party.

• The Cake we chose was made at the walmart bakery and it only cost us 20 bucks! It was a Hit and everyone loved it! It wasn't really a cake it was a bunch of cupcakes half chocolate and half yellow, all arranged in the shape of Elmo's face. It was vanilla icing sprayed red. Then They used plastic Elmo eyes and a mouth. nobody knew untill we started eating them that they were Elmo.
• Ryan's Little cake was a 4 person cake that the bakery at my work made. It was just simply a 4 person cake with red and white icing and Happy 1st birthday Ryan and we added an Elmo candle on top!

Since we did the party last minute we had a hard time finding decorations but we made do with what we had.

I got a happy birthday 1st banner with baby sesame street on it, we hung it in the living room.

Our dollar store blows up balloons so we got a red,silver and a happy birthday balloon blown up.

We also bought regular red blue and green balloons and blew them up ourselves for the kids to play with.

We also found a 13inch happy birthday balloon with Elmo on it and he sung happy birthday when tapped.

We also bought a sesame street table cloth and party hats at target.

We could not find enough Elmo invitations everywhere we looked so we decided on buying these really cute invitations that were shaped like a one and on the inside it just had he deatils, everyone thought they were so cute.

For the food we ate it at the picnic area outside,

We grilled hot dogs and we had baked beans, slaw, potato salad and chaips and dip.

And we also had chocolate eclairs that I displayed on a cupcake tower, and placed doilies for under them and I put Elmo on the top everyone thought it was a cute touch.

**I don't have great pictures of the picnic area were we at at because I had to cook the food and the person I gave the camera to did not take any pictures. :(         **

We got my son the Hurray I'm 1 Elmo birthday Bib and Crown.

We also got him 2 Elmo outfits and a shirt that said it's my 1st birthday to wair because of course at his age he got his clothes dirty and needed to be changed.

We got his bib and crown at Toys-r-us.

Everyone loved the bib and the crown.

We did not get to do everything we wanted to do for his elmo birthday party but the only thing that matters is that Ryan and all of his guests had a good time.
